The network of waterways linking Burgundy to neighbouring countries provides links with Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. Thanks to this privileged location, the waterways are one of the last bastions of traditional inland waterway transport and, at the same time, a much sought-after route for pleasure boaters.
The route enters the southern Vosges via the charming commune of Fontenoy le Château and winds its way through the Vôge via Lac de Bouzey, before leaving the Vosges at Charmes/Socourt.
The Port d’Epinal, with its 20 moorings, is open all year round.
